Disclosure Policy

Well, it's time to pop a policy disclosure on my blog to start off the New Year of 2013.

So as of Jan 1st 2013, here is my spiel about how the FTC (Federal Trade Commisson) and ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) require a disclosure by law on blogs. Even though I am Australia and not bound by these laws I may or may not at some stage receive bits and bobs by people from those countries..so here goes. FYI I tend to buy my own stuff for use and blogging.

So, this is my blog and I can be pretty opinionated, funny and sometimes unintentionally offensive..you may or may not notice this on my blog. Because it's my blog the opinions on here are my own, not yours or what everyone else wants to hear.. and I reserve the right to change my mind on my opinion's or revise them, it's a women's prerogative you know. Everything on this blog is written and edited by me, unless stated otherwise. ie guest blogger or promotional information that would be useless to re-interpret. If you have any questions about this blog please email me at codebluechick@gmail.com.

I would love to accept some forms of sponsorships but I don't have any at the moment. Make me an offer? I do accept free items for review, services, travel, event tickets and other forms of compensation from companies and organizations. The compensation received will never influence the content, topics or posts made in this blog and I will either keep products after review or use these for a giveway. I will always give an honest review but as I do love polish and related products, a product would be have to be pretty bad for me to give it a slamming. Just sayin'. If I claim or appear to be expert on a certain topic or product or service area, I will only endorse products or services that I believe, based on expertise, that are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.

Now for Giveaways..I would love to do some giveaways and will do so. When it comes to Giveaways or Competitions your email will not be shown and will be kept private. Giveaways are open to readers 18 years or older with Australian shipping addresses only, unless otherwise stated. No purchase necessary to enter or win, just luck.

Winners are generated by Rafflecopter or random.org. Winners will be notified by email. Winners must respond within 24 hours or a new winner will be chosen.
The use of any automated launching or entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that permits the participant to automatically register and/or enter repeatedly is prohibited and all such entries will be disqualified...cos that's cheating you know!

So, myself and any sponsoring partners (if and when I have 'em) are not responsible for any late or lost entries, electronic, hardware, Internet or other computer/communications related malfunctions, giveaway disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of myself and any sponsoring partners, any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the giveaway or prizes lost in shipment. All federal, state, local or international taxes associated with the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. By entering the giveaway through this website, you release myself and any sponsoring partners from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the giveaway or delivery, misdelivery or acceptance of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory. I and any sponsoring partners are not responsible for lost or misdirected prizes.

Finally, sometimes I refer to people as "chick/s" which means "girl/s" and "dude./s" which means "boy/s"..this is a personal quirk and there is no disrespect implied..just my way of sprechen sie English, mkay!
