This is Halloween Nail Art Challenge- Horror Movies

I love Halloween and the thought of all the spooky things and things that go bump in the night, but alas, Australian's are not really into that sort of thing with Halloween. So when Lacquer Dreams came up with a Halloween challenge on the Aussie Nails Facebook Group, how could I resist. My only problem is that I can't freehand..I can barely draw a stick figure in a normal picture, so my artistic talent is naught in general. To be honest I didn't give artistic-ness a crack this particular mani and I guess that will be minus a few points for lack of effort but I do love what I did. It's Horror Movies with glam-ness!

The October 1 mani is 'Horror Movies" and I chose to do an abstract version of A Nightmare on Elm Street as I have always loved Freddy and the nightmare concept. I like scary movies, I just don't like the music and tend to cheat and fast forward a bit so the music doesn't creep me out! LOL. I thought for ages about what movie and what I could do, but alot of nail art I could create just wasn't "me"...so this is what I went with.

For this mani I used China Glaze Sydney Sand as a base and I stamped using Konad Q1 stamping plate in Zoya Sooki. I then dotted some red glitter with China Glaze Ruby Pumps. To me it kinda looks like the razor claws that Freddy uses ..scratched across each nail. I think the middle nail is my favorite as it has that just swiped off centre look :)

  6. These are just great - good to wear in weeks leading up to Halloween when I don't want to have blood drips using the dotting tool look and I am not ready to wear black and orange nails yet.
