Aussie Christmas Nail Challenge- 6 White Bloomers..kinda

So todays Aussie Christmas Nail Challenge is 6 White BOOMers..which Rolf Harris sings about how Santa gets around at Christmas time instead of Reindeer in Australia. I can't do freehand nail art and there were no kangaroo stamps. So I've gone for the close-but-no-cigar version of 6 White BLOOMers hanging from a Hills Hoist which is as Aussie as you can get. I remember having a pair of bloomers for Netball which were dark blue and went over your underpants. My nail art ones are white..but are a bit confused and they look like tighty whiteys! LOL. My Hills Hoist (Clotheslines) and holding the bloomers in under festive Christmas lights

They are meant to look something like this!

This is clearly not my best effort..but hey, I gave it a go!

Well, this one was pretty hard for me. I used Revlon Metallic as the base and whilst shiny, it sucked at drying and was hard to clean up. I used Ulta3 White and black for the actual nail art and the lights were done with China Glaze Outta Bounds, Coconut Kiss and Ruby Pumps. Hmm, I think the bloomers look like white blobs, which is how me freehanding Kangaroos would have looked as well! I'm looking forward to the next challenge..Pool Party!

This is Halloween Nail Art Challenge- Horror Movies

I love Halloween and the thought of all the spooky things and things that go bump in the night, but alas, Australian's are not really into that sort of thing with Halloween. So when Lacquer Dreams came up with a Halloween challenge on the Aussie Nails Facebook Group, how could I resist. My only problem is that I can't freehand..I can barely draw a stick figure in a normal picture, so my artistic talent is naught in general. To be honest I didn't give artistic-ness a crack this particular mani and I guess that will be minus a few points for lack of effort but I do love what I did. It's Horror Movies with glam-ness!

The October 1 mani is 'Horror Movies" and I chose to do an abstract version of A Nightmare on Elm Street as I have always loved Freddy and the nightmare concept. I like scary movies, I just don't like the music and tend to cheat and fast forward a bit so the music doesn't creep me out! LOL. I thought for ages about what movie and what I could do, but alot of nail art I could create just wasn't "me"...so this is what I went with.

For this mani I used China Glaze Sydney Sand as a base and I stamped using Konad Q1 stamping plate in Zoya Sooki. I then dotted some red glitter with China Glaze Ruby Pumps. To me it kinda looks like the razor claws that Freddy uses ..scratched across each nail. I think the middle nail is my favorite as it has that just swiped off centre look :)
