Hmm, the blue and green stamping had a lot more contrast in real life. Hera is a dark green and you can see it best in the bottom pic near the cuticle of the nail. Blue Heaven is a light blue..in these pics the circles all just look holographic! For British Eyes Only has some lovely blue and green glitters in it in a blue jelly base..overall this mani looks more blue than green to me, so a slight fail, but it was still pretty to wear! Now, onto some purple polish.....
Come to the darkside of the polish world, where there is never enough polish, nail art or glitter!

Savvy Mint Julep with blue and green stamping - Green/Blue for Untried May
Helloooo, I have been keeping up with The Amy's Untried Challenge but haven't been doing very well with keeping up with my blogging, so here is a bit of a mash up of Green and Blue. For green I used Savvy Mint Julep, which in my opinion is leaning more blue than green. What do you think? Anyways I really liked this color be it blue or green and poppped on top of it Happy Hands For British Eyes Only on my ring finger for an accent then stamped with Hits Hera and Color Club Blue Heaven.

Scofflaw Wraith Pinned to the Mist and NerdLacquer Event Horizion
Hi guys! It's my birthday today..and this post was scheduled last week as I am on holidays :) This is a look I wore recently and since I love NerdLacquer and am determined to have a complete set one day. One of my recent grabby hands was Event Horizon. Event Horizon is a gorgeous dark teal jelly with silver hexs and microglitter. Now since I wanted to mix this up I used Event Horizon as an accent nail with Scofflaw Wraith Pinned to the Mist on the rest of my fingers. Scofflaw has an awesome polish with Wraith Pinned to the Mist, its an aqua shimmer polish filled with blue, violet, green, and gold sparks as well as delicate gold flakes and is stunning on it's own. I then stamped with A-England St George with a floral pattern from Emily de Molly plate. For this manicure I used 3 coats of Scofflaw and 3 coats of Nerdlacquer
The Scofflaw Polish Wraith Pinned to the Mist is a lovely aqua polish and because it's surrounded by lots of teal/green it takes on the greeney tone. I loved how this looked and it's definitely an Autumn look. We are having a second wind of summer though so I am back to the bright colors after this! Hope you are having a great day, I am sure I am having a massage and then a lovely dinner for my birthday :)

It's Christmas! Christmas Skittles mani :)
Okay, so it finally feels like Christmas for me! I have had my Christmas nails on, have watched one of my first Christmas movies that I always watch at Christmas..Terry Pratchett's The Hogfather and I am finally getting around to wrapping presents, well the 4 presents out of like 20 I only have :)
We have been doing some home improvements..air conditioning, curtains, sheers, window tints to try and get ready for a hot summer....and today is raining but hot..nice summer weather where are you? Christmas day is always hot and sunny in Australia, and I am sure it will pull through this year.
So, here is my Christmas skittle nails I did...a little bit of Christmas on each finger. The first finger is Essence L.O.L with Bundle monster stamping in Essence The Green and the Grunge. The middle finger is KBShimmer Strung Out, Ring finger is Layla Soft Touch Marshmallow Twinkle with dotting in various different colors and the little finger is Essence Fame Fatale with Bundle Monster stamping. My thumb had a green sweater stamping look using Essence The Green and the Grunge with bundle Monster stamping which you can see on my left hand later!

Here is my left hand which used the same skittles colors but my first finger with the Essence and Bundle Monster stamping.
Left hand- first finger has Essence The green and the grunge with Bundle monster stamping in Essence Icy Princess. Yay! Another nice stamping silver. Love how this tree came out :)
Now I had no sun to take these photos in, but I still think these look pretty and christmassy. People commented on the lime green nail with the tree and the sweater look dark green nail. My personal fav is the red Santa hat nail and the KBShimmer Strung Out! LOL.
Hope you are having a great weekend and not too must last minute Xmas shopping like I have to do!

China Glaze Four Leaf Clover with nail art
So, its the end of the weekend..and it's cold and miserable in wintery old Melbourne. I'm grumpy..an it's ongoing. I think it may have to do with the very low carb Paleo diet. Apparently it only lasts a few weeks?! Anyways, I think I am tolerable, but just more irritable than I am usually and since I am aware of it I will try and take some more deep breaths. Is it worth it you ask? Well, yer. I know its hard to avoid all the bad things in our diet but trying to minimize exposure isn't terrible in my opinion :)
Tonight I have for you greener than green China Glaze Four Leaf Clover from the Up & Away collection. I really love all the polishes in the collection and Four Leaf Clover isn't just for St. Patrick's Day. I've stamped it and glittered it..and love how it looks!

China Glaze Four Leaf Clover, Nubar Reclaim Stamping with Pueen Plates and KBShimmer The Dancing Green accent nail
Dot glittah!
Holographic stamping!
Of course this was a complete pain in the rear to photograph but completely worth it! The green is a bit more vivid in real life.. and The Dancing Green by KBShimmer goes so well. Nubar Reclaim is a great holographic polish and it stamps really well too I am happy to find out :)
Still working on the Rafflecopter giveaway..hopefully by Wednesday I'll have it up and running.

China Glaze Pastel Blue, Green and Pink Water Marble
Sorry for the lack of posts, sometimes life gets in the way of time for lovely nails and being time poor means no time for photos. Today though, my dear friend from work Lisa requested Mint nail polish. So this post is for you Bangers :) As I have recently discovered water marbling and how lovely this looks I thought I would do a minty marble look. My base mint polish was China Glaze Re-freshmint from the Up & Away Collection (2010) and I though Bahamian Escape (Bahama Blue Collection) and Something Sweet (also from the Up & Away Collection) would go lovely for water marbly goodness :)
L-R, China Glaze Re-freshmint, Bahamian Escape and Something Sweet
I started with Ulta3 Base coat and 1 coat of Re-freshmint, I didn't take a photo so have referenced the Swatchaholic :)
China Glaze Re-freshmint, so minty and lovely :)
I then proceeded to water marble with the 3 colors.. some nails turned out better than others!
Left Hand water marble, loving the middle finger nail marble effect :)
Left Thumb water marble
Right Hand water marble, loving the pointer finger nail marble effect :)
Right Thumb water marble
The photos have turned very pastel color wise, which they are in certain light. In non-bright light they are more vibrant, so I have color corrected a photos to show you this, don't mind the Opmpa Loompa skin effect!
Loving this water marble effect and the mint is awesome :) Thanks Lisa for suggesting the mint polish idea in my head (I even bought Re-freshmint on Tuesday with this in mind!). I am missing the happiness different nail polish color brings at my work so much now, what to do, what to do :(
On another note, I got up today like a good nail polish slave to buy some Sonoma Nail Art polish and had some in my cart on Etsy when I realized they didn't ship to Australia. Darn it. I did manage to get a bottle of all of the Dollish Mario Collection on Friday night (didn't think I was going to purchase any initially though!). I am getting a little bit glitter indie polish saturated..not sure how everyone else out there feels, but the hype is running it's course with me. I don't want to bun fight for polish anymore. I am wanting some Zoya's and Essies though so might focus on calmly purchase some colors there!

Kleancolor Melon Green
When is a green, not really a green? When it's Melon Green by Kleancolor, of course! What is up with polishes that are a pain in the behind to photograph true-to-color this week? Anyways, let me just say Melon Green is green despite trying to impersonate yellow quite well. Kleancolor does some amazing colors, you can rank Melon Green up there with them, especially since it's a 1 coater!
Kleancolor without and with Flash
Kleancolor without flash, yellow looking indeedy :)
Kleancolor Melon Green with Flash, more greenish on the left.
Green in the bottle, Neon yellow on the nails here! LOL
Final attempt for the polish to look green..kinda.
Here is a pic(borrowed) of how green Melon Green truely is :)
*Sigh* As you can see, Kleancolor Melon Green is an awesome polish, hard to photograph but looks amazing on. It's vibrant and fun and neon :) Easy to apply, I used a base coat, 1 coat of Kleancolor Melon Green and no top coat. This is so not a work appropriate color, but amazing if you can get away with it! LOL. It's one of those colors that makes you want to look at your nails all the time :)
Hope you like the quick post tonight, to brighten up a cold winters day :)
Have a good one!

Pretty and Polish Bayou Blitz
Hello, hello, hello and welcome to this evenings post. Not sure if this particular combination today is a massive nail fail or just a minor one. I really loved the darkness of Kleancolor Retro Green yesterday (flick back to have a looksee) and thought I'd put Pretty and Polished Bayou Blitz as an added top coat. Bayou Blitz is a vibrant green and yellow matte glitter polish with larger bright hexagons in it. So onto the polish!

So, I applied one coat of Bayou Blitz over Retro Green, this is no top coat.
You will have to excuse dry cuticles, winter sucks on my nails!
Bayou Blitz, no flash

Bayou Blitz, with flash
Close up with Flash
You can see in the last close up shot that the green base of Bayou Blitz changes the base color of Retro Green from a nice dark color to a more faded one. A base closer to the green color of Bayou Blitz might have generated a more pleasing result, although I do like the idea of a fluoro glitter over a darker base. The slight green tint appears to be more apparent with the flash though. So, what do you think..nail fail or semi nail fail or does this color combo work for you?

Nubar Earth
A color called "Earth" brings to mind a browney, chocolatey color in my visual mind of nail polish colors, you think? Nubar though has different ideas. Earth according to them is a dark green blue color that changes with the light. Maybe it's the color of how the earth looks from space? Anyways, just wanted to show you this lovely color from Nubar.
Nubar with no flash, different light angle and with flash
Nubar Earth front on
Nubar Earth with Flash, could it be any greener?
Little blue flecks coming through in the light
Noice silvery blue sheen :)
Not sure Nubar Earth is everyone's cup of tea...what do you think?
