China Glaze Blue Years Eve

Hey Guys! Long time no post..okay, it was like 5 days, but it feel like ageeeeeees. Today I have for you something that has been loitering in my Helmer just waiting for the right time to put on, China Glaze Blue Years Eve. Today I had a study day today, so yesterday I asked my colleague (and surrogate mother) what color I should wear today, she voted blue or green. Since I was wearing electric blue pants today, out came the electric blue polish. On a side note, I went for a hit and run shopping today, electric blue is so trending right now, it was everywhere!

Blue Years Eve is a gorgeous electric blue shard polish that is made of micro flecks of blue, to give this such an interesting depth!

Electric Blue goodness! Love :)

This was 2 coats of China Glaze Blue Years Eve, it applied lovely albeit it a bit thin. Didn't make it hard to work with though. China Glaze Adore stamps wonderfully and contrasted well, and Enchanted Polish Blue Freeze was flecky and blingy in the light. So hard to capture of course! My pants were this exact color, so I felt very co-ordinated. Not sure it helped me focus on my Respiratory Care course..but it certainly made me happy!
2 more work days until my holidays start.. can't wait!

Austism Awareness Day- China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic with stamping!

Argh! I am late with my Autism Awareness Day post..but I swear I was wearing this on the actual AA Day...and for Autism Awareness Day we are going blue! Some of us are doing a month of blue, some a week..I will be doing a Blue as much as I can but probably once a week unless I get super inspired. So please check next week for another gorgeous shade of blue :) So which blue did I kick off my Autism Awareness ? I couldn't decided but China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic called to me and so this is what I started with. I wanted to incorporate the puzzle logo of the Autism Society as they represent the mystery and complexity of the autism spectrum.

I stamped with puzzle pieces and colored in a few to make it pretty :)

The mani has a variety of colors in different lights and Rodeo Fanatic has a duochromey finish.

The glitter of Freeze Machine also had a duochrome effect in the light!

I really loved how this turned out...interesting enough to catch the eye but not overwhelming. I good start on the spectrum of blue :) Now,there is also an awesome blue polish auction in the pipeworks with many awesome contributors of indie polish babes donating to raising funds by auctioning one off custom blue polishes of awesomeness! You can check out this super awesome fund raising and the growing contributors at Paint It Blue! Custom blues for Autism.

Essie Penny Talk with Enchanted Polish Tummy Time

Hellooooo...this post is going to be a straight forward one. Work tonight was crazy..it's true what they say about full moon and medical things going mental!  Metallic polish plus Glitter Polish equals a lovely blingy mani. This is how I particularly like my pedicures..it gives the polish a bit more depth and dimension. Today I paired Penny Talk with Enchanted Polish Tummy time..and here is the result. Warning..too many pics because I couldn't decide. Also, I mattified this look in some of the photos, can you tell the difference??

You have to love a holo heart!

Alrighty then. First of all what do you think of the combo? I had this on my nails and my mother asked for the same polish with an accent nail of the same glitter, LOL. The difference between the original finsh and Matte top coat was.. negligible really. It took the sheen off the brassiness of the polish slightly, but didn't significantly alter the glitter that I could tell! I will say the more I wear Essie Penny Talk, the more I love the color. Enchanted Polish Tummy Time was a great glitter topper. It's an intriguing combo of red micro glitters, black shards, holo hexes, holo bar glitters and holo heart and stars. *whew* The holo heart required a little bit of fishing but otherwise it was easy application.

Are you bored of Essie Penny Talk yet?? Should I keep going or just move along to a different polish? :)

Enchanted Polish Awesomeness with Glitter and Stamping

Awesomeness is a purple holo polish from Enchanted Polish that I popped into my cart on impulse from Llarowe and last week my polish arrived. It has been sitting on my kitchen table begging me to try it and I know I wanted to..so today is Awesomeness' lucky day, I loves me some purple and holo..and to top it all off I am itching to stamp up a storm so without much ado here is the results!

Awesomeness with top coat, without and with flash. The polish has morphed from a vibrant purple to a more bluish purple with the Seche Vite top coat and lost some of the holo :( The polish just seemed to soak up the Seche. Not quite what I expected!

So, on with the stamping goodness and various glitter accessories. I wanted to just play around with different finishes and this is what I used.
Lush Lacquer Hottie Tottie, China Glaze Agent Lavender, Essence It's Purplicious, Girly Bits Hocus Pocus

Left and Right Hand overall appearance.
As you can see, the more Seche top coat I applied, the darker Awesomeness got, it literally soaked up the other polish. I applied China Glaze Agent Lavender to my right pointer, index and ring fingers in different coats as I knew this was going to absorbed somewhat as well and wanted to try an ombre of sorts with the two polishes. I think the various shades of purple looked pretty good :) Awesomeness also stamps nicely, it's just a shame it that a top coat alters the original purple loveliness.

What do you guys think? Do you have Awesomeness, do you love it? :)
