Black, Gold and Silver striping manicure

Hey hey, I was feeling productive today, but that's waning off. Was meant to have to carpets steam cleaned but that didn't go off as planned. But that's okay, got a quote on air conditioning for our upstairs bedroom and caught the gardener to come an fix our dismal back yard (erm, outta control weeds anyone!). So I am feeling slightly happier that I am getting stuff done.
Today I have an idea taken from the Aussie Nails Monday chicks..which was a mani with gold, silver, white or black using Aussie Indie polishes. I do have quite a few Aussie Indi Polishes but it was late in the day so I just used the theme with any old polishes I could easily put my hands on! Here is the end result.

OPI Goldeneye, OPI Bond, James Bond, China Glaze Cosmic Dust and Savvy Starburst striping manicure
For this look I painted a coat of MUD Dark Room, waited for it to dry and applied striping tape in patterns. I then sponged over the top in gold with OPI Goldeneye and Bond, James Bond and silver colors of China Glaze Cosmic Dust and Savvy Starburst.

This look was particularly sparkly but difficult to catch all the different characteristics of each polish. There was holographic, sparkly, large glass flecks all thrown in there. I am sure I could have randomized my striping a bit more but I just can't help myself, I like them to look the same!

It's hot here today I might put on a holo and catch a some sun and rainbows..see you soon!

Ulta3 Blue Heaven with Holographic Stamping

Hi all! Well, it finally happened. I got my stamping nail art mojo back. Has taken forever since I have felt I have had inspiration to do some nail art, and then actually getting it right :) My inspiration was this lovely Ulta3 Blue Heaven that I stumbled across the other day..so pretty. I teamed it up OPI Call me Gwen-Ever which I found at a bargain price. Can I say, it's a very orange, orange? Anyways, to complete the look I had in mind I did some gradient nails with Gwen-Ever and Pretty Serious Generally Hazardous. I double stamped over Blue Heaven with China Glaze Sci Fly By and Take a Trek with Mash 43 plate.

I loved how this came together overall.. I did have run outside like an idiot to catch the transient sun for these pics. Who says it's almost summer here?? Will see it when I believe it! Anyways, this was so fun and I enjoyed wearing this alot. Hope you liked it!

Dance Legend Harbor

Hellooooo.. I have another swatch today for you . I don't seem to be having my nail art mojo going on. I'll work on that, shall I? LOL. Today I have another of the Russian brand Dance Legend. They just have awesome polishes, this one is one of the Sahara Sand collection, a liquid sand glitter :) Now I am usually a die hard top coat fanatic, so it was hard to not but I really do like how the polish look dried and it's slight gritty feel. Not overly insanely lumpy which was great. It also wore really well as these pics are after 2 days of work and housework. Winning!

Slightly sparkly, the glitter is more obvious in the bottle!

You can see the slight glitter shimmer here :)

These picture are in the full sun and I think the polish leans a little bit more towards peach in real life. The glitter in the bottle is super obvious, on the nail it gives the polish a slightly shimmery look which brings dimension to the color without being a full on glitter bomb polish! I found myself playing with my nails a fair bit to feel the texture and I was amazed at how strong my nails felt. Like a mixture of cement and polish! LOL. I bought my Dance Legends directly from the russian website, but you can purchase Dance Legend from Ninjapolish and Llarowe :)

Lacura Apple

Hi guys! It's been a crazy week. TBH I really could have done without most of the week. Work makes me question why I get out of bed everyday and devote 10 hours a day to the shit that goes on sometimes. Some people I work with are Asshats, no seriously *sigh* To add onto that I some how missed my alarm to go to the Osteopath this morning, so my back..she no good. Ah well! I have Man of Steel to watch tonight with girl friends, I am sure that will perk me up.
So here in Australia we have Aldi, a bulk buy german company that sell groceries and random stuff cheaply..and I quite like it. They have had awesome tweezers with and led light that are pretty darned good for $6. Since I dropped my old one (*cough* repeatedly! *cough*) and the light broke, I went to get a new one and they had $2.99 polishes of their brand Lacura there as well. I restrained myself and only bought three. So today I have for you Lacura Apple, a granny smith kinda green which I love!

Love this limey green color :)

Well, I was pretty impressed with application and coverage for a $3 polish and I loved the color! It's a cross between granny smith green and lime and a bit brighter on the nail than in the bottle. I did do some nail art with this color but it was rubbish! Smudged it with the top coat. I will see if there are any pics that aren't a complete disaster, LOL.
Hope you are having a better week than I am..and thank goodness its the weekend!

Dance Legend Fantastic Trip

Howdy! It's time. Time for what you say? Time to get back to business.. the business of blogging :) I had a holiday, it was a great holiday..I had an AWESOME time. I came home and really hit the bottom with post holiday depression. I am only feeling like myself the last few days, that's nearly a month of being out of it. ALSO I broke a nail September the 9th in New York, trust me I remembered it since it was a horrid break. It's taken nearly 2 months to grow out.
Whelp, today I am back with a swatch of Dance Legend Fantastic Trip. Yeah, its isn't that new, yeah it's a neutral color..but its a color so many people have complemented me on..and its so holo-ey I want to die! LOL.

Such a strong linear holo..love!

My Fave pic of the holo!

How can anyone not love this color? Fantastic Trip is described as a orange peach holographic polish. I would definitely say this accurately describes what I see. In the shade this color is peach toned with the orange coming out to play in the sunlight. I did a regular old base coat and 2 coats of Fantastic Trip with a top coat not dulling the finish. I love the vibrancy of the Dance Legend polishes as well as their strong holographic quality but also work appropriate when inside!
I have some exciting polishes, so wont be a stranger for such a long time again :)
