KB Shimmer Bejeweled

Oooh, today I have a KB Shimmer polish..Bejeweled! Bejeweled is a glitter topcoat with various purple, aqua, blue and rose gold hex's. This is a glitterbomb in a bottle and looks so pretty! I couldn't wait to try this, with the rose colored gold hex's in the bottle I thought it would look great over a peach polish. I popped this over Lilaquer To Protect Love :)

Extreme Close up of the Glitters!

The photos do not show just how lovely and blingy the glitters are in real life. They go really well with the peach polish and just dazzle as you move your fingers! You can see there is a good spread of all the different glitter and I didn't have to fish anything out, it came out just as you see it. I didn't apply a top coat but I do think that this would have finished the look as we all like a nice smooth finish and it would have made the glitter pop even more! I purchased Bejeweled from Harlow and Co which is the only place you can for those not in America!

What do you think? Like, love or hate?

Lilacquer To Protect Love

I had been eyeing off some Lilaquer polishes for a little while until I came across some swatches to show me how amazing they would look on the nail and then I was hooked :) The first ihave to show you today is Lilaquer To Protect Love. To Protect Love is from the movie the Fifth Element collection by Lilacquer Polishes and is such an interesting peach with gold shimmer that hits you in the face.

 Peachy gold shimmery goodness!

This polish is lovely and vibrant, the peach is so pretty and the golden sheen just gives it that something extra! This applied really well and I know it looks a little thick on my nails, but that was my fault, I promise! I may have dinged my nails needing a few extra coats, oops! I will do another re-swatch with better looking nails :) I love how this peachy polish looks with my skin tone, so alive and not mannequin hand looking.

What do you guys think?

Dollish 1-UP

Today I have for you one of the Dollish Mario Brothers collection glitters! There are a total of 8 glitters in the Mario Brothers collection and there are various colors and complexities within each glitter. 1-UP is a lovely polish with  frog green small glitter, green bar glitters and white hexs in a clear polish. I layered 1-UP over Nubar Reclaim for some blingness, now onto the lovely matte glittery goodness! LOL

I really loved how this looked when I put it on and wore the mani for a few days. I really didn't want to take it off. The combo of the holo of Nubar Reclaim with the contrasting matte glitters was awesome. The glitters applied as you see them without any fishing around for larger ones and although I have seen black and white similar versions of 1-UP, I can say I don't own any and do really like this one alot!

Do you like 1-UP? Yay or nay to matte glitters?

China Glaze Towel Boy Toy

Today I have for you a quick post on a polish that I have been meaning to try, China Glaze Towel Boy toy. I have heard wonderful things about this color..it dries matte for a start and have a gorgeous blue neon effect. After applying this, I can say that both do apply..and here is where my apology starts. Couldn't photograph the neon shimmer, yet again! So sorry about that but please do enjoy the lovely blueness of Towel Boy Toy anyways.

I did use 3 layers of Towel Boy and you can still see visible nail line!

Some of the lovely blue shimmer can be seen..not much though :(

 Argh, VNL!

Despite 3 layers I had visible nail line, that is a slight strike against such a nice polish but not a deal breaker! The first layer applied all streaky and easily created bald spots, but it evened out in the 2nd and 3rd coats. I didn't capture the loveliness of this polish as often happens with neon type polishes, but you an see it's an teal/blue/aqua mix. If you like blue polishes, this one is definitely worth having in your collection, despite difficulty photographing! :)

China Glaze Elephant Walk

Super late and super quick post today. I had to work on a Sunday, boo. The good news is I am on 3 weeks of holidays as of the end of my shift today, yay! Going away for a part of it, so there will be a few scheduled post and maybe not one exactly everyday..will see how it goes!
Today I have for you China Glaze Elephant Walk from the on Safari collection. I want to like this polish as it's a grey with a hint of green in it, but not sure I do....maybe it's the green in the grey that I don't like? Anyways onto the pics!

 Grey/green with some shimmer!

So, this is China Glaze Elephant Walk..I like it for a grey, its nice..it just doesn't rock my world. Don't know why! It seems an interesting enough polish..maybe it doesn't go with my skin tone like I thought it would or maybe I just don't like the muddying the colors of grey and green. I just can't pinpoint why I don't love, love, love it. Hrm.

What do you guys think? Do you like the grey of Elephant walk or is it blah? Hopefully some fun colors this week since I am HOLIDAYS! Did I mention that? :)

Nubar Reclaim

Hey all, it's Super Saturday! Well, it's Saturday and that's pretty super good in my book :) I had a mani yesterday completly go to to pot. How, you ask. Well, I did 2 coats of a base color and 2 coats of the quite transparent color with flecks in it and popped my Seche on top. The next day there were pits where the flecks were! It was pitty and bumpy and bleh looking. I was so not going to photograph that, Sorry about that. I had no energy after my 10 hour shift to try again! So, today I have picked a happy color that I have had in my Helmer for a while but never tried, Nubar Reclaim. Gosh, why have I not tried it before?? Reclaim is a gorgeous holo green and I love, love, love it!

 Holo goodness!

Nubar Reclaim
 Did someone say rainbows?

Nubar Reclaim is so much better on than in the bottle. The bottle is a little bit darker and flat. On the nail it's such a lovely green with holo effect. The holo wasn't super strong but I will say there is no sun here to try and amp it up. Having said that, in natural light there is still a holo effect so at least you don't have to rely on the sun to make it pop. I think this color really suits my skin tone....some greens can make it look like you have gangrene fingers! LOL. I used one coat of Reclaim, could have used 2 for less chipping long term but it wasn't needed for opacity. Seche disappointed me on this one with the tip shrinkage, but I still loved it anyways!

Do you have any Nubars? Would you wear green, do you like or hate it?

Revlon Peach Smoothie

I picked up some polishes from OZsales when they were on special a while back and Revlon polishes were amongst them for $5 a polish. Revlon Peach Smoothie was one of the ones I chose for work but it wasn't until I took the photo of the front tonight that I realized it should smell like Peaches when dry. Well, since I use a top coat I can't say that I noticed it! LOL. This is a great work appropriate color with a pastel peachy tone with a bit of gold shimmer in it :) I can't say it set me on fire, but it was pretty enough and seemed to be a good natural color.

Revlon Peach Smoothie
The peachy goldness looks lovely here on the nail and in the bottle.

The more I look at the pics of this color with my skin tone the more I like it. It's a bit muted for my liking, not really a pastel, not a full on gold toned peach. It's somewhere in no mans land in my mind. The nail tip wear you see was only after 1 day, so either Revlon hates Seche Vite or it just didn't wear very well! I do wash my hands alot and am quite rough with my polish and nails so it could have been that.

What do you guys think, do you pay full price for Revlon and how does it wear for you?

KB Shimmer Bandgeek

Evenink all, tonight I have for you a polish that I have been lusting after for a while after seeing it on Harlow and Co and it is of course, Bandgeek. There have been many a glitter indie polish floating around but I must say KB Shimmer had me hooked from the start, although it took a little longer to get my hot little hands on the blingy goodness. KB Shimmer's site doesn't ship internationally, so I had to wait for Harlow and Co to distribute the polish. I feel like an addict! LOL. Anyways, Bandgeek is super amazing with it's black base, gold flecks and multi copper, silver and gold hex's and glitters! Oh, and polish removal yesterday with the new Essence Peel off Base Coat..completely failed for me. I think I did it too thin :(  Onto Bandgeek!

 Gratuitous shiny metallic shot!

I completely love Bandgeek and how it looked on my nails. So much going on! I love all the metallic glitters with the black base and it had full coverage in 2 coats. My only other thoughts were a nice black "undies" polish would make the glitter pop even more :) I picked up a few more polishes from KB Shimmer and can't wait to try them. They look so lovely in the bottle. I did use the Essence Peel off Base Coat under Bandgeek and it worked really well! The polish peeled off quite well, no polish remover required. So a thick coat as a base coat is the way to go.

Hope you liked Bandgeek! I think it's an awesome polish. Do you have any other KB Shimmers?
