Emily de Molly Seeing Red

Hi guys, TGIF! I never thought I would make it through the day and to be honest I am not sure I have yet, LOL. I have a million things to do and not really sure which way to run first, I have birthdays, meet ups, beauty appointments, osteo..and finalization of travel stuff...and then there is packing. I need to let me mind settle it seems, too many hummingbirds in it! Anyways, here is something gorgeous I wore the other day, it's Emily de Mollys Seeing Red. I was in the mood for bright and pretty and this certainly fit the bill. It's amazing how pigmented it is..I used only one coat! See what you think..

Gah! Such a gorgeous holo..luffs so much!

Even in the semi shade..it blings :)

Fully sun, but a bit too sunny I think..hehe

I got so many compliments on this, its so elegant but also so interesting with the strong holo component. I used only one coat for my mani and had great coverage. I found this super easy to worth with and applied wonderfully. I love Emily de Molly, and you can get your  hands on her gorgeous polishes here: Etsy Store and Femme Fatale Cosmetics.

What do you think..do you love or love love it? :)

China Glaze Blue Years Eve

Hey Guys! Long time no post..okay, it was like 5 days, but it feel like ageeeeeees. Today I have for you something that has been loitering in my Helmer just waiting for the right time to put on, China Glaze Blue Years Eve. Today I had a study day today, so yesterday I asked my colleague (and surrogate mother) what color I should wear today, she voted blue or green. Since I was wearing electric blue pants today, out came the electric blue polish. On a side note, I went for a hit and run shopping today, electric blue is so trending right now, it was everywhere!

Blue Years Eve is a gorgeous electric blue shard polish that is made of micro flecks of blue, to give this such an interesting depth!

Enchanted Polish Blue Freeze is much more gorgeous in real life!

Electric Blue goodness! Love :)

This was 2 coats of China Glaze Blue Years Eve, it applied lovely albeit it a bit thin. Didn't make it hard to work with though. China Glaze Adore stamps wonderfully and contrasted well, and Enchanted Polish Blue Freeze was flecky and blingy in the light. So hard to capture of course! My pants were this exact color, so I felt very co-ordinated. Not sure it helped me focus on my Respiratory Care course..but it certainly made me happy!
2 more work days until my holidays start.. can't wait!

China Glaze Great Barrier Beige- Revisited

Hi all! Hows your week been? I've actually had a good one, albeit a bit tiring..work, study days and holiday planning. It's funny how when I talk to people about going on holidays for a month most immediately ask "So how many nail polishes are you taking?" LOL. My answer at the moment is "none" to "a few for stamping" as I have a list of polishes to purchase on my travels!

Today I have for you a gorgeous beige cream from the China Glaze Down Under Collection released in 2005. I had these Aussie themed polishes muled to me from America as I just couldn't get them here! Great Barrier Beige is, well, a beige..and my original pics were with a lightbox. I really love how this beige looks with my skin tone so thought it was worth another swatch!. Here are my full sun swatches of this polish :)

I have a few other of the China Glaze Down Under polishes that I haven't swatched..well, also quite a few other polishes as well if I am honest. I have put myself on a no buy for this month and whilst I am wanting a few newer release polishes the compulsion to buy is very much less, which I actually think is a good thing. I am excited about shopping overseas for both polish and clothes! I am going to post some nail art tomorrow or the next day..so look out for that!

China Glaze FYI with P!NK dotticure and stamping

Today I have for you guys something I wore when I went to the Pink concert here in Melbourne last week :) Yes, she was amazing and I had a great time! For the manicure, I started off with China Glaze FYI as it came under the heading of "work appropriate" and then for the Pink concert I wanted to add some pink colored nail art. I went with a simple dotticure and stamping as that's what I felt like doing :) I have been a little bit nail art/polish de-inspired as I am on a no buy this month for my holiday next month. I am also doing a bit of organizing which is taking up some time for the holiday, including a holiday blog ..so my attentions have been split. This was the end result.

This is 2 coats of China Glaze FYI with dotticure using Ulta3 Pink Peony, China Glaze Something Sweet and Lilypad Lacquer Juicy Lips. Stamping with Ulta3 Pink Peony.

The holo is not super strong, but very pretty still :)

FYI is a lovely gold/beige. The various pinks contrast well :)

Since the sun is hard to get here in Melbourne, and as I work when it's usually sunny, I managed to snap these pictures whilst at an Occupational Health and Safety refresher course. I am sure some people thought I was nuts running out on my lunch break with my polish bottle and camera..but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do! FYI truly comes alive in the sun and it's a dark horse favorite for me. It applies well and just looks great with my skin tone. The Ulta3 Pink Peony is so pretty as dots, I am going to make sure I do a full manicure look with it!

Essie Bobbing for Baubles- Stamped and Fuzzy Coated

Hey guys, I feel so bad I have been missing in action. I worked EVERY day last week..and I know most people normally work everyday, but since I work 10 hour shifts and morning/afternoon shifts I was pooped most days! I have also been planning for a grand adventure with a girl friend to gallivant all over the USA. I might be a bit excited as it's 21 days out and I can't wait to go wine tasting in the Sonoma Valley, visit Yosemite National Park, see the Statue of Liberty, go to Disneyworld, have an Airboat ride in New Orleans and experience the wonder that is Las Vegas..a bit of downtime on the way home via Hawaii :) Anyways, I want to share with you something I did a while ago and forgot I had the pics.. Essie Bobbing for Baubles is an awesome dusky navy blue and I wanted to try one of my new Sally Hansen Fuzzy coats. I then attempted to match some stamping with it!

Sally Hansen Peach Fuzz...I love bar glittah!

Loving the navy blue with orange :)

This manicure was lovely and wintery and I really liked the navy/orange/yellow combo which I didn't expect. I love bar glitters and the fuzzy coats tick that box for me. I don't think the CG Fairy Dust added anything to this look so I should have skipped that! Essie's Bobbing for Baubles looked great on it's own and I am a bit sad I didn't get any pics of it on it's own..next time!
Thanks guys for hanging around with my sporadic posts..I will promise to try harder :) I will definitely be posting some haul pics and nail pics whilst overseas as well!

Whimsical Ideas by Pam Peanut Butter and Jelly

Hey Guys, gah! That's what I think of this week. Today in particular..ones of those days. TGIF tomorrow. Anyways, I am sure it's nothing that polish can't fix :) Today I have for you a lovely swatch of Whimsical Ideas by Pam Peanut Butter and Jelly..and a bit of a average lightbox pic of some stamping. It looked awesome in real life, I promise.

Loving the glitter suspending in jelly! So yummy :)

So much more glittery and awesome in real life :)

I love the color and depth of this polish. To me it's a bit of a wintry color and since it's winter here, it fits right in! I love that its squishy and the glitters swim with each layer. Whimsical Ideas by Pam are a little hard to get in Australia, as she currently only ships to the US. Mine were shipped in a big group order through a parcel forwarding service. The Fun plates from Llarowe are awesome, great for stamping, very easy to transfer and cute and different designs.
